D'abord j'ai crée une image de 1600x1600 pixels, 300 dpi; mode: couleurs indexées, palette noir & blanc (1-bit).
Sur un nouveau calque transparant j'ai dessiné une matrice de 8x8 carreaux, chacun encore divisé en quarts.
First I created an image of 1600x1600 pixels, 300 dpi; modus:indexed colors, black & white, 1-bit.
On a new transparent layer I drew a matrix of 8x8 tiles, each further divided into quarters.
Alors, j'ai dessiné des lignes diagonales avec l'outil Chemins.
Then I drew diagonals with the Path tool.
Sur un nouveau calque transparent, j'ai tracé les Chemins diagonales d'abord en noir, épaisseur: 138 px; et après en blanc, épaisseur 46 px. Ensuite, j'ai sélectionné le couleur blanc et je l'ai effacé.
On a new transparent layer, I traced the diagonal Paths first in black, thickness: 138 px; and then in white, thickness 46 px. Then I selected the white color and erased it.

... que j'ai copié et retourné horizontalement.
... which I copied and flipped horizontally.
Et il ne reste qu'utiliser l'outil Gomme pour obtenir l'effet tressé.
And all that remains to do is using the Eraser tool to get the braided effect.
C'est la base à partir de laquelle j'ai créé les autres carreaux. Le principe reste toujours le même: d'abord dessiner (ou adapter) les Chemins...
