Depuis plus de 100 ans, les Romains se soumettent à la volonté de Jésus-Christ(1). L'empire est en déclin, les rois chrétiens deviendront puissants et les royaumes grandiront. La rumeur veut que même le païen Chlodovechus le Mérovingien, qui a conquis tout le nord de la Gaule, a été baptisé(2). Choisir le Christ, c'est choisir l'avenir!
(1) Sous l'empereur Constantin (306-337), la persécution chrétienne a été abolie dans l'Empire romain. L'empereur Théodose Ier a fait du christianisme la religion d'État 50 ans plus tard, bien que l'Empire romain à cette époque était un méli-mélo de diverses religions, sectes et cultes, les chrétiens n'étant qu'une minorité.
(2) Les historiens ne sont pas d'accord sur l'année du baptême de Clovis. Les estimations varient entre 496 et 508.

Emperor Theodosius I made Christianity the state religion 50 years later, although the Roman Empire during that time was a mishmash of diverse religions, sects and cults, with Christians being only a minority.
(2) Historians disagree on the year Clovis was baptized. Estimates range between 496 and 508.
